Every once in a while I hear talk around whether or not the concept of balance even exists, and many say that it doesn’t.
I disagree.
I believe that there’s balance in everything, but that sometimes we expect there to be balance every single day, and that makes things much more difficult. To me, balance exists when you take a look at the wider scope of your every day life and take more a birds’ eye view rather than expecting every minute of our lives to be perfectly balanced.
And sometimes the biggest source of balance can be found in the pure joy of missing out.
Because here’s the thing: every time we say yes to something, we’re saying no to something else, which means that we need to make our choices very carefully and to examine what our bigger priorities are.
I’m sharing some of my personal experiences around the concept of balance and the pendulum swing I recently underwent, along with why I’m so full of the joy of missing out lately. I’m hoping it gives you permission to fully lean into the joy of missing out in your own life, and to recognize just how much balance is actually cultivated into every season of our lives that we undergo.
