You know I’m still all about podcasting, but video is still important, especially for Instagram stories.
That doesn’t mean you have to be doing video trainings or Youtube videos, but you still need to be showing your face. People need to get to know you, AND podcasting isn’t necessarily for everyone, though it can be an even better way to dip your toe in the water (one major bonus of podcasting is that you can record in your robe and not care – though I’ve done videos in my robe too!)
More than half the battle with video is simply showing up, much like anything else, because you’ll never get any better if you don’t try.
What are you afraid of when it comes to video? Being judged by others? Or judging yourself?
I assure you that NO ONE else is paying as much attention to you as you think they are, they’re far too concerned with their own stuff.
The #1 thing I get told about why people appreciate me, my brand, my podcast and my Instagram stories?
That isn’t an accident.
And today I’m sharing with you all of the ways that you can show up as YOURSELF, no matter how messy and imperfect you might think you are. Because people need to hear what you have to say, and they want to connect with you on a deeper level.
We’re talking about how to get over the things that are holding you back from doing videos, how to figure out what to talk about, and all kinds of tips to make your videos better.
CHALLENGE THIS WEEK:
From the time you listen to the episode, you have 24 hours to post an IG story of yourself talking. AND you aren’t allowed to re-record. Even if you fuck up a bit.
NEXT LEVEL CHALLENGE:
-show your face in your stories every day for a week.
Commit to going LIVE at a certain date and time.
Be sure to tag me in your IG stories as you take me up on the challenge! I want to see your beautiful face showing up as YOU. Pop into my DMs over @emilygoughcoach and I’ll be cheering you on!
