“What’s hard about being a man?” This is a question I’ve been asking a lot of (those who identify as) men lately. And while so many of our modern conversations are rightfully focused on helping marginalized communities heal and be supported after generations of oppression, men are often under-supported in the realm of mental and emotional health, and the results impact the entire collective.
This is why people like James Walsham “The Compassionate Man” and others have begun creating platforms to help men shake off generations of toxic masculinity and societal expectations to have somewhere to do the work of self-discovery, expanding their worldviews, opening up emotionally, strengthening their relationships and growing as humans.
